I searched and couldn't find a tutorial for how to edit your /ignore messages in dAx, so I made my own! Spiffy huh?

*Boxymoron made a very good tutorial, though it doesn't cover the specifics in this tutorial, it DOES tell you how to edit dAx, and why things work the way they do. Definitely something to check out here: [link]

Thanks to

=GodsLittleHeathen for all the help with all the problems this had in the tutorial itself! I'm so glad I saved it as a PSD too =D
~zylph for providing the original /ignore message
*TreeHugginFlowaChild for the inspiration to do this!
`siebenzehn for dAx!
Everyone who's testing this out for me and helping me work out the kinks! You people are awesome.

Link to dAx for those who don't have it: [link]
Link to GreaseMonkey for those who need it to have dAx

Original /ignore message ya need to do the ctrl+f trick:
is ignoring \''+username+'\' now.

Hope this tutorial is helpful :)

Any ideas / critiques / comments / etc most welcome!

Update 1/5/2008 9:58 PM
You MAY get a message stating that you should update dAx and not use it if it's been edited. Update dAx, and try again, make sure not to delete or change ANYTHING other then what this tutorial tells you to.

Update 1/5/2008 10:15 PM
If you attempt to open dAx to edit, and it asks you for a file type, go to C:/windows/ and type in Notepad. That should get it open and working for you. Also, re-did part of the tutorial for added clarity and amusement to myself. Sorry for breaking the file name apart, dA was trying to turn it into a link

lol, the only problem with this is that I can't test it as there isn't anyone I want to ignore xD but if someone does happen to try it out should be good eh?

So can you make your own personalized message as to why you're ignoring them? such as if they try to contact you a message pops up saying "textexttextexttextexttextexttextexttexte xttextexttextexttextexttextexttextexttex texttextexttextext" or something along those lines?

Glad I could do so much to help you. I didn't realize it was going to a greater purpose.

I'm going to set up mine to be as discreet as possible. I don't need people trying to ask me why I ignored them.

Thanks for the awesome tutorial <3

I'm sure there is a way to do that, but it takes some real programming know how, though I imagine that if you're real into it, you could take parts from the '/setaway' and '/setbusy' messages and make it check through the cookie for their name. then write an if statement that'll produce that output. the else to the statement would be empty.
