Twisting through the air
Filling all our lives with scares
demons in the dark

Crawling through the trees,
making all but stout hearts flee,
demons in the wood

Whispering in your ear
hair raising on your neck, fear
Demons at your side

running down your spine
claws shivering, hard cold spines
demons on your skin

trying to escape,
against your heart and mind, scrape
Demons in your soul

Red beneath your eyes
wicked smile growing inside
demon in control

Inner demon lies
tells me naught but makes us cry
No more will to fight

Follow all they say
Demon showing me the way
Smile in your sleep

Follow all they say,
Demons welcome here today
smiling as they creep
